Welcome to the annual UW Challenge for Charity Auction Gala! 

 

Our event looks a bit different this year with the gala set to live stream on Saturday, February 20th at 7pm. The "Around the World" theme reflects this year's unique opportunity to bring together and celebrate our entire Foster C4C community regardless of where folks reside. While we will miss seeing everyone in person, we still look forward to a fun and, most importantly, impactful evening for our charities!

 

We have decided not to charge for tickets this year. All attendees can register for free in advance of the event on the bidding platform. A link to the YouTube live stream will be provided in the week prior to the event. As you will see, one item titled "Suggested Ticket Donation" is already available on the bidding platform. Though we are not able to provide an in-person experience due to the pandemic, we have still incurred fixed costs related to event production and logistics of over $18,000. We hope you will consider making a "Ticket Donation" to help us cover some of these costs.

Since this is the first time the auction is going virtual, here are some overview details:

  • The silent auction will go live on Saturday, February 13th at 12:00pm PST. Even if you cannot attend the live stream you can still bid on silent auction items throughout the week before the event. 
  • "Raise-the-Paddle" will also go live on Saturday, February 13th at 12:00pm PST and remain open until Sunday, February 21st at 11:59pm PST. If you do not win any of your desired auction packages or you cannot attend the live event you can still donate!
  • Live auction items will open on Saturday, February 20th at 10:00am PST, with bidding still taking place during the program, which kicks off at 7:00pm, and winners announced by the auctioneer live.
  • The program itself will feature messages from Dean Hodge and representatives from our core charities, live bidding, and "Raise the Paddle", but will be condensed into ~1 hour total.
